Maurice Cohen, a student in Segovia, Spain, says he lost four streaks when Snapchat went down. His streaks were 150, 90, 76 and 40 days long.
"I’m super upset," says Cohen. "This is something that shouldn’t happen and should be resolved within minutes." He says it took "hours to fix" and he only had two of his streaks restored. "Thank god I didn’t lose my big streaks like 500 days," he says.
18-year-old Natasha, from Manchester, UK, lost her 110 day-strong snap streak with her boyfriend after Snapchat went down. "I'm not like devastated about it, I'm a little upset because it's with my boyfriend," says Natasha.
"It didn't show a timer either through the whole 24 hours in which you're supposed to send a snap," she says. Usually Snapchat shows a small egg timer emoji when your streak is dying. She's been onto Snapchat Support in a bid to get back her streaks. "I'm hoping to get them back, it's started a new streak, but I want my old ones back," she adds.
Twitter is ablaze with deeply upset Snapchatters waxing lyrical about their missing streaks, and wondering if they'll ever get them back.

Snapchatters currently mourning the loss of their streaks shouldn't despair just yet, however. If you go to Snapchat's support site, you can re-apply for your lost streak. If your snap streak still hasn't come back within 24 hours, contact Snapchat again.
Godspeed, streakers!
