Keeping secrets become dangerous when you're in a marriage. But the secret becomes less dangerous if it involves raising stray kittens, as one grandpa found out.
Syl, the granddaughter of this compassionate man, posted about her grandpa Jimmy's clandestine kitten-raising on Twitter and accompanied the story with an absolutely precious photo of her grandpa in action.

According to The Dodo, Jimmy is 85 years old and lives in Puerto Rico, where a number of stray cats prowl the neighborhood. While Jimmy tended to give in and care for the cats, his wife did not want the cats coming around their house.
"My grandpa felt for the stray cats and would leave food in the back of the house near his tool shed, a spot where my grandma doesn't go," Syl told The Dodo. "This particular cat was especially friendly and got attached to my grandpa."
So attached, in fact, that the pregnant cat ended up having her kittens in that very same tool shed, where Jimmy allowed her to stay and care for her kittens, all in secret.
Grandma did eventually find out three weeks later, but she relented.
"She's okay with them staying there until they're old enough to have new homes," Syl said.
We wish all the cats to eventually be adopted into loving home. But for now, we'll simply enjoy the idea of an 85-year-old man spending his time playing with kittens.
