That's according to a tweet from National Grid's official account, which tracks the UK's power supply. It was thrown in among endless updates, but it shouldn't be overlooked.

The power utility cited an energy research firm's data that showed high winds and low demand helped the UK reach the power record, which meant negative prices for energy for the first time -- another milestone. The BBC reported that prices fell to a tenth of normal levels -- that's how much power was generated by wind turbines.

Keep up the blustery weather, Great Britain!
