Pornhub's Super Bowl insights: Eagles fans held off longer than Patriots fans

Just like watching for iconic commercials and hating on the Patriots, Pornhub's annual data analysis has become something of a Super Bowl tradition. The adult site has been posting its stats from the big game since 2014 and the analysis includes most searched terms and changes in traffic during the big game.

According to Pornhub, its most searched term was, unsurprisingly, "Super Bowl." Other notable searches include Tom Brady, Janet Jackson, and touchdown.

The post says, "We’re afraid to see if any porn videos actually end with either partner shouting “touchdown!”

Traffic drops were similar in both Philadelphia and Boston during the Super Bowl, but Eagles fans kept their poles dry for longer. Site traffic fell by 58 percent at 10pm, right around when the Eagles won. After their team was beat, it seems that Patriots fans were quick to beat something else, with site traffic in Boston up 28 percent more than normal.

However, there's no correlation between site traffic in Massachusetts and a Super Bowl win -- Massachusetts residents are quick to drop their pants either way. When the Patriots were victorious after last year's Super Bowl, Pornhub's 2017 insights found there was still a 30 percent increase in site traffic immediately after the game.

Pornhub also pointed out differences between its male and female users during the halftime show. During Justin Timberlake's performance, male traffic nationwide fell by 30 percent while female traffic only dropped by 22 percent.

Men were also quicker to return to Pornhub sooner after the game, with a 10 percent increase nationwide peaking around midnight. Traffic for female users didn't reach a climax until 2 a.m., at a 7percent increase nationwide.
